Overview

The Southern Rockhole is a seasonal waterfall, located towards the top of the first gorge on the Southeastern side of the river.

You can choose to go by foot and walk approximately 4Km each way or you can relax on a boat ferry which will take you within 150m of the Rockhole. Choose from a return trip or one way if you’d like to do a walk in the opposite direction.

The walk to the rockhole from the drop off point requires a moderate level of fitness and mobility as some rock-hopping is involved which only adds to the fun.

The Southern Rockhole is a beautiful spot to enjoy nature and make the most of the refreshing freshwater swimming holes during the warm tropical summer.
