Overview
Held at the Nitmiluk Cultural Centre, our Indigenous guides will introduce you to the Jawoyn culture and traditional activities such as basket weaving, spear throwing, fire lighting, painting, and didgeridoo playing.
Traditionally, these activities were divided into “Men’s business” and “Women’s business”. Your knowledgeable cultural team will discuss both roles in the Jawoyn culture and encourage you to experience some of these traditional activities for yourself.
Be sure to bring suitable footwear as the terrain varies and a short cultural walk may be included.
Enjoy a BBQ Lunch with meats and salads – you might even like to try a traditionally cooked kangaroo tail.
